Post The Legend of Cypher

This is just some crazy story I thought of one day, don’t ask me how I came up with it, for I don’t even know . I wrote this book in a journal layout. This is mostly the Guild Wars story line for Prophecies, with some extra things here and there. This is only book one of my *planned* 5 book series. Feel free to comment.

The Legend of Cypher

Book 1

Day: Unknown, Year: Unknown

I awoke one day, in a bizarre and cruel place. I have no memory of where I came from or how I got here, all I remember about my personal life is that people called me Cypher, for what reason, I do not know. I do remember what objects are called and how the world should look, and this is far from what I remember. I just wish I knew where I was. This place is so twisted that it cannot be naturally formed. This place, where I am kept prisoner by these…things, is by far, the strangest place in existence. I have a cell mate, she calls herself Serenity and is the one who refers to me as Cypher, she says that I told her that was my name, but I have no memory of that. Those who are keeping me prisoner here have allowed me to write in a journal, but who knows when they decide to take that away.

Day: 5 days after awakening, Year: Unknown

Yesterday, the wardens of this bizarre prison started “perfecting” the prisoners in other cells, they said that they will first change the body of us all, then our minds, in order to follow orders and join their army. Very few go willingly, but what sane man would? By how many prisoners go a day and where my cell is at, I estimate about 5 more days until it is my turn for my body to be changed. Serenity is more frightened everyday, nothing I do will calm her down, but given our circumstances, I cannot blame her. I just wish I could see what fate awaited me…

Day: 9 after awakening, Year: Unknown

My guess was right, I will be going to be “perfected” tomorrow; I just hope some miracle occurs and I can escape with Serenity from this place, whatever this place is. This very well be my last entry, as being the third, this is not the journal I hoped for…

Day: 1 after escape, Year: Unknown

My miracle occurred, but a few seconds too late. An army of snake-like creatures attacked my prison while I was undergoing the process of my body being transformed by magic. Luckily, there is no permanent change, but for some reason, I can transform at will, at least for now. Serenity escaped with the snake-creatures while I was retrieving this journal, to any who read this, this may seem stupid, but this is my only way to remember myself if I ever forget again. On my way to the exit, the head warden of the prison blocked my path, so I turned to find another way out, but after taking 3 steps away from the warden of the prison, a portal opened in front of me and swallowed me whole. I am now somewhere that looks more natural, but I still do not know where this is, I am constantly moving hoping to find friendly people that will help me.

Day: 135 of the year, 5 days after escape, Year: 1070 AE

I found some friendly people, led by a male warrior called Prince Rurik, and none too soon, for some cat-like creature found me and attempted to kill me. For some reason, I could not transform and since I had not weapon, I was defenseless in a fight, so I ran. Rurik explained to me where I was, Ascalon, the year, 1070, what that creature was, a Charr, and why it tried to kill me. It seems there is a war between Humans and this Charr race. In order to repay my dept, I agreed to fight along side Rurik’s army against these Charr, I start training tomorrow.

Day: 140

There were a few professions I was allowed to take on when I started training, it was hard for me to choose, I seemed to like to fight up close, but I do not have the size to be a warrior, I also cannot stand the simplicity of their weapon choices. I prefer dual-wielding swords. So in all technicalities, I have no profession so I had to train myself, even though I was officially a warrior because I used swords. While exploring the catacombs, I found a weird looking sword. This sword looks like it was made of bone or something, but it seems to channel magical energy. This will most defiantly help me in my future, I am sure of it. Perhaps this sword will help me fight up close without needing to be as massive as those warriors. Anyways, tomorrow, I will join Rurik to kill a Charr that has rallied Grawl south of this giant wall in the land of Ascalon, which is called The Great Wall and it most certainly great. Along with Rurik and I will be some people who are called prodigies of this time, their names being Devona, Mhenlo, Aiden, Cynn, and Eve. They are a weird group of people but when I saw them fight yesterday, I could see why they are considered prodigies.

Day: 173, Year: 1072 AE

It has been two years since I had time to write in this journal, ever since the Searing I have been constantly busy fighting off the Charr at several spots. Ever since I escaped, I heard this voice, but cannot tell where it is coming from, and since the Searing, I have been hearing a second one. Every now and then I blank out and cannot remember a thing, I have heard of times like this, I believe they are called “multiple personalities,” I hope this is not the case, but if it is not, then I cannot fathom what it is. Anyways, I am on my way to scout north of the wall because of reports on the Charr amassing an army slightly north of the wall. Devona and the others will be accompanying me with this mission as well. I hope that these reports are not true, but one can only hope.

Day: 174

My hope was crushed when we saw the assembled Charr army, what’s worse was that they spotted me. We had to retreat to the wall, which was shortly afterwards taken by the Charr and we had to retreat even more. After reclaiming land south of the wall, Rurik and we led an assault into Charr controlled land and rescued some prisoners, I know how it feels to be like those people, but I hope they were not treated as bad as I was. After freeing the prisoners, Rurik and we made it to Rin, which was under attacked. We killed off all the Charr in there but not without a price to pay. Not only did we lose many lives, but Rurik and his father, King Adelbern, had an argument and now Rurik is leading a refugee movement to a land called Kryta. I do not agree with running from this fight but it is near hopeless and I promised to help Rurik no matter his choices, so I will follow him.

Day: 181

These past few days have been so bad, I cannot tell what is worse anymore, being in this world or being a prisoner in that twisted realm. Ascalon is falling; Rurik has been killed by the Stone Summit, a group of rebel dwarves who hate all other races, too many people have lost their lives over a war I do not know what caused it. I promised Rurik I would lead the refugees to Kryta, and I did. Now the “White Mantle” wants me to join their ranks and fight off an undead horde, this world is riddled with problems! I wish I had a few days of peace, but it seems I will get none in this world. Every day, these voices get louder in my head, but my times of blacking out are decreasing, I wish I knew what was happening to me. I also wish I knew Serenity’s fate, but who am I to wish for such a thing?

Day: 200

It seems I finally get a few days of rest, but the past weeks have been pure chaos. First, we am emitted into the ranks of the White Mantle to kill undead, then they want me to rescue the “chosen” from rebels known as the Shining Blade. When we finally catch up the Shining Blade, they tell us that the White Mantle is evil. At first we did not believe them, but they were right. Is there nothing in this world that is at peace? Not even the Maguuma Jungle itself is at peace, even with no creatures but plants in it. The voices are no louder, but no softer then in the past. I am told that we are to leave to steal the Scepter of Orr from the White Mantle, which I delivered myself to them. Only time will tell what is to come of all of this.

Day: 201

The answer to those voices has been answered. While exploring an area called The Falls I met a Druid who said that the water there would purify my mind of the evil taint that resides in my subconscious, and if it is not removed then it will destroy me from the inside. So what did I have to lose? Nothing, so I went into the water and what happened? Two other humans sprouted from my own body! I couldn’t believe my eyes! They said their names were Azazel and Spyke, and that they were the voices I heard in my head. The one who called himself Azazel left right away and it was Spyke who explained that to me. After Spyke left, the Druid told me that the day will come when I must destroy my own darkness, and that I am now pure good and will not fall to the evils of the world. I was completely surprised by this whole incident. But, seeing how I have a few more days to relax, I can think about all of this.

Day: 220

So we stole the Scepter and gave it to this man called Vizier Khilbron, who was the vizier of Orr. Then we had to retreat to the Crystal Desert because one of the Shining Blade’s inner circle betrayed us to the White Mantle. We became ascended in the Crystal Desert and met with the Dragon Prophet, Glint. She told me what we had to do to fix this mess and so we head out to Droknar’s Forge. We are currently tracking down Evennia and Saidra, the 2 leaders of the Shining Blade; I just hope we am not too late to save them.

Day: 222

We got to Evennia and Saidra in time, but the Mursaat, the White Mantle’s “Unseen Gods” killed Saidra as we were escaping. Now we hunt down the one who betrayed us, Markis, and along with him, we search for a Seer, who can give us power to fight off the Mursaat, if this seer is willing to share this power.

Day: 240

The Seer was more then generous with his knowledge and power. Not only did he infuse my armor with magical essence so that we am resistant to the Mursaat’s agonizing touch, but he explained more in depth of what the Druid in the Falls. After meeting with the Seer, we tracked and killed Markis. And we helped the Dwarves retake their capital from the Stone Summit and killed the leader of the Stone Summit. With the help of Vizier Khilbron, we traveled to the Ring of Fire, but I do not trust this vizier, he has been too helpful in a matter he should have no need to interfere with. We currently fight my way to the Bloodstone near the center of this chain in order to unlock a weapon which will kill off all the Mursaat, I think I will destroy whatever weapon this is, if it can destroy a race of powerful beings, it is too powerful and should not exist.

Not even 10 minutes ago, I met Azazel again; he said he was searching for the “Five Death Swords,” that is part of some prophecy that explains our fates. Specifically, he was searching for the “Death Sword of Fire” which is suppose to be on the Ring of Fire Islands I do not know what he is talking about, but after I finish my mission on this island chain, I will find out.

Day: 242

I KNEW IT! Khilbron was a traitor after all! Not to mention a Lich Lord! This weapon to wipe out the Mursaat was an army of “Titans,” large beings of fire that once killed, create smaller versions of itself. I am now on my way to kill the traitor while he is in his little power fest, I hope he enjoys it, for soon he will enjoy having my sword through his chest.

Day: 247

When I thought it was all over, while still in Droknar’s Forge, Glint’s avatar appeared and asked for my help in defeating the remaining Titan forces that escaped the Ring of Fire. We, Devona, myself, and the others, accepted as we are the only ones who know how to fight Titans. We all separated in order to cover more ground, Cynn and Aiden when to the Shiverpeaks, Devona and Eve went to Kryta, and I went to Ascalon, only to find that Spyke is there fighting the Titans as well. I am now on my way to finishing off the last group of Titan generals, in Dragon’s Gullet, with Spyke.

Day: 250

Once more, when I thought I could rest, I get a request from the dwarves to help crush the remaining forces of the Stone Summit that reside in Sorrow’s Furnace. In hopes of bringing peace to the world, and getting some time to finally rest, I agreed to help. Just yesterday, I destroyed a giant Golem called “The Iron Forge man.” It was huge, but a pushover compared to the Titan army. This is my last entry in this book seeing how I no longer have room to write in. I will start a new book when something comes up again, until then. Now, it is time to rest.

This part is just prophecies. It is a much much longer story. I only put up part of it and now am working on book 3, I wanted to see what people thought of the parts that are NOT part of the game before posting it all up. Basically, books 1,2,and 4 are mostly what happens in the game with a few things here and there that are not, but book 3 and over half of book 5 will be mostly stuff that is not in the story line. But thank you for your obvious criticism. And I would like to point out what I said before writing in the story.

I wrote this book in a journal layout. Feel free to comment, it is mostly the Guild Wars story line for Prophecies, with some extra things here and there. This is only book one of my *planned* 5 book series. Feel free to comment *as long as all comments are not negative, I will put up book 2 in a few days, and book 3 a few days after, unless I don't finish it, since book 3 is where it goes off of the gw story line *.

In short: This is part 1 of 5 and is mostly based on the game. Part 2 and 4 are also based mostly on the game, however Part 3 and 5 are mostly original and part 5 is where I did not know how I got that.

Hey Aza.

I liked it so far (can't wait for next one), but I don't understand what type of profession are you...

The profession thing for this book can simply be "none." I decided that I will post books in session of when I finish the book after the next *so when I finish book 3, which is the hardest to make sicne it's 100% original, I will post book 2 up*. Also, I may write a journal for Azazel and Spyke.

What I plan on doing is making a 5-6 book journal by Cypher, then a few journals by Azazel, then finish it off with journals by Spyke. And in all technicality, none of those three are my characters, so they cannot be "on my characters." I think in the end, if all goes to planned, I will have 5 for Cypher, 3 for Azazel, then 4 for Spyke, so just 12 in total. And I will put all of the Cypher journals on this thread, make a new thread for Azazel, and another new one for Spyke. That way, people won't have to scroll through a bunch of pages and/or there won't be a page and a half long OP.

Book 2

Day: 255, Year 1072 AE

NO REST! I NEVER GET REST! I saved the world already once and I have my own personalities running around in the world thanks to some druid in the Maguuma Jungle and I cannot even get one week of rest! Yesterday, Mhenlo received a letter from someone called “Master Togo” from the land of Cantha. We will be leaving shortly. I hope that this is not as big of a crisis as Khibron. I also hope that it will not take as long and I will be able tot get some rest around here. It seems that Spyke will be joining us on this trip as well.

Day: 263

We finally arrived in Cantha. The city known as Kaineng City is a complete mess. It seems that the problem is a plague that is ravaging through the continent. If it is a simple plague, I have no idea how Togo thinks we can help, does he want us to fight what we cannot see? This Togo person better have a good reason for bringing us here or I may rake my anger of not being able to rest out on him.

Day: 265

Well, it seems Togo had a good reason to bring us here. It seems the source of this plague is the manifestation of an Envoy called Shiro Tagachi who is raising the dead to create an army of Afflicted. Other Envoys told us that we must become “Closer to the Stars” in order to see ghosts without them wanting us to see them. This sounds a little creepy to me but if it must be done, it must be done.

On another note, since coming here I have noticed two new professions that are taken by people. These are the Assassin and the Ritualist, and it seems Togo is a Ritualist. Personally, I like the way of these assassins and decided to look into them, maybe if I get some free time I will be able to switch my profession to assassin from a necromancer wielding a sword.

Day: 268

We became closer to the stars and made it to Tahnakai Temple. This place houses the spirit of Vizu, an assassin who helped defeat Shiro nearly 200 years ago. It seemed that Shiro tried to bind Vizu and the other souls in this temple, but we were able to free them all. Vizu told us to seek the guidance of the Kurzicks and the Luxons, and their champions who were the ones who dealt the finishing blow to Shiro.

Day: 275

We gained the trust of both the Kurzicks and the Luxons and gained the artifacts that hold their long dead champions. I personally do not like the Luxons, they are too focused on war. Anyways, now we head to Suinjiang District in order to finish Shiro off. This seems to easy compare to the fight with Khilbron, but I also hope it really is this easy.

Day: 279

We failed. While we sent Shiro away for a time, he will be back as the Envoys tell us. It seems we must unite the Kurzicks and the Luxons under one banner in order to fight Shiro for good. They are currently at war and I do not think it will be so easy. Togo and Spyke are going to the Luxons, Mhenlo and the others, along with myself, are going to talk to the Kurzicks.

Day: 284

The Kurzicks have agreed to help and of what I hear, Togo and Spyke succeeded on their end as well. We now travel to the Harvest Temple, the location where Shiro originally died, to meet up with each other.

Day: 288

This surrounding area is amazing. One can clearly see the battle of Nature against human architecture frozen in time by the Jade Wind that occurred when Shiro died. Inside we found a corrupted dragon called Kuunavang. We removed the corruption from the dragon that Shiro inflicted on it. And in exchange, Kuunavang is going to aid us in taking back Raisu Palace, which is currently under attack by Shiro now.

Day: 289

This is both a sad day and a joyous day for Cantha. The Emperor was saved, Shiro was killed, but Togo has fallen. Shiro’s plan was to become mortal again by killing the emperor, or someone of the royal bloodline. Togo got in Shiro’s way when he tried to kill Emperor Kizu and died in Kizu’s stead. After killing Shiro, I took his dual blades as a souvenir and I am now going to learn the way of the assassin.

Earlier, the Kurzicks and Luxons seem to have different views on the peace that was made. The Kurzicks want to maintain peace while the Luxons want war. I cannot understand why people must constantly fight each other. But as I talked to them, they also requested my help with problems not related to the war. The Kurzicks want me to kill of the warden leader called Urgoz, and the Luxons want me to kill a demon called Kanaxai. I suppose I will take both of them out so that there is a few less problems in the world.

Day: 293

I just killed off Urgoz, and on the way to him I met Azazel once more, claiming to be looking for the “Death Sword of Nature” which is supposed to be guarded by Urgoz himself. He said that next time we meet, he will be “testing” the strength of his new swords, but I went ahead and started to attack him. He angers me so much that I cannot control myself around him. The “Death Sword of Fire” that he got when we last met was very powerful; it made a clean cut through my armor like he was not even trying. I now know I need to prevent him from obtaining all five swords. If he already found the second, I must find the last three before him.

Day: 295

Kanaxai is dead now and all of the main problems are over in Cantha. There is an uneasy peace between the Luxons and Kurzicks, but it is still peace. It seems normally, the canthans would not train outsiders anymore, but seeing how I saved the emperor and killed Shiro, Urgoz, and Kanaxai, I am allowed to train under some trainers of assassins. I have already adapted my own form of this profession but it is good to know the original version as well.

Book 3

Day: 75, Year: 1074 AE

It has been half of a year since I started training, and I have finished training yesterday. By all means, I finished a long time ago, but I continued training by myself long after the trainers from Shing Jea said that I know the way of the assassin. Since I always liked dual-wielding weapons, it was not hard for me to pick up on the weapons part of being an assassin. The training at the monastery was soft and too easy, so when I trained on my own, I set limits that even a god would have troubles obtaining, and of course I did not make those limits, but I did improve a lot more then I could have under simple trainers.

A few weeks ago, both Spyke and Eve disappeared one night. I suspect that they are training in their own necromancer ways. Tomorrow, I will be setting out to search for the remaining “Death Swords,” if Azazel has yet to get the rest, which I hope to the gods he hasn’t.

Day: 80

I met with the Seer who told me that due to the immense power of the Death Swords, they were scattered so far that only one existed on a continent, expect for two of them which were both in Tyria. The first was the Fire Sword, but the Seer did not seem to know the location of either. This is where I start my search. I know that there is a Fire Sword, and a Nature Sword. My immediate guess is that there is a Death Sword for each god, Nature for Melandru, Fire for Balthazar, probably Ice for Grenth, Air for Dwayna, and Mind or something like that for Lyssa. My guess is that if there is an Ice Sword, it will be in the Shiverpeaks.

Day: 132

I have been searching all this time and I have yet to find any clues to an Ice Sword. I believe I may be searching in the wrong location, or for a sword that does not exist, unless Azazel has found it, which I hope he hasn’t. If I am right and there is a sword for each god, then Orr might be a good place to look for another chance at Grenth’s sword. I shall head there now.

Day: 135

I met Spyke and Eve in the southern parts of the Shiverpeaks yesterday. After telling them my destination, they wanted to come with, probably to see the undead that are supposed to be there. I could use the company anyways so they are now traveling with me.

Day: 146

This place is infested with undead! It’s nearly unbearable. If Spyke and Eve were not here then I wouldn’t stand a chance, their little army of minions is very helpful. I doubt that there is a sword here, and if there is that Azazel would be able to get it with all of these undead here. I will continue searching Tyria for any clues for these ancient swords. Until then, I just hope Azazel is not continuing his searches. Coming here made me think of the Scepter of Orr, seeing how we did not destroy it, I wonder if it is still around somewhere.

Day: 167

I have searched all of Ascalon, all of the Maguuma that I can get through, and even all of Kryta, but I have not even heard of a rumor of Azazel, let alone of a Death Sword. My next destination is the Crystal Desert; I do not think I will find any sort of clue, seeing how I went through it all before. But last time I did not know of the Death Swords.

Day: 176

I made it back into this desert. I went to talk to the ghosts, thinking they may know something. I found a slight strand of luck when I spoke to General Mendoza. He had heard of a rare, ancient sword called “The Death Sword of Mind.” It is somewhere in Elona, his homeland. I was told that the other half of the desert, the part closer to Elona, is very dangerous and should be avoided if possible. I will be trying to find another way around but if I cannot, and then I must risk such a journey.

Day: 187

No luck with finding passage on a boat to Elona. It seems I will have to go into the “Desolation,” the name of the other half of the desert. In order to know what I will be facing on the other side of the desert, I talked to Turai Ossa for any tips, as his group made it across the desert, even though a lot fewer in numbers then when they started. All I know of this “Desolation” is that there are a bunch of sulfurous spots that are deadly to mortals. But, as it stands, I have no choice but to cross.

Day: 194

I have been able to avoid many sulfurous places in my travels. The closer to the center of this part of the desert, the more undead I find in this place. I am starting to wonder what turned this desert so deadly. After all, the Crystal Desert was once a sea, so something had to of happened in this desert for it to turn into what it is now.

Day: 197

This area is very weird. It is so weird I cannot really explain it. All I can tell is that this place is full of power and…torment. Torment that is all too familiar, so much similar to when I was imprisoned nearly three years ago. I wonder if this place is somehow connected to where I was so long ago, and I wonder if Serenity is still alive…

Day: 206

I have stumbled upon a build, as big as a small palace, mostly made up of bone. I can only guess this is where some undead lord used to live. I remember Turai telling me of an undead lich called Palawa Joko living in a “Bone Palace,” this must be the Bone Palace, and if it isn’t then the Bone Palace must be a lot bigger, and made of more bones. If this is the Bone Palace, that means I am nearly out of the Desolation, I give it a few more days of avoiding the sulfurous lands.

Day: 210

I have finally made it out of the Desolation into the land of Kourna. I must say that the centaurs are surprisingly…nicer…if one calls it that, then those in Tyria. I do not like their term for humans but it is better then having to fight them. It seems that the military of this area is very strict. I have been able to avoid patrols, I do not want to risk being seen with them and having to go through ordeals that I can avoid.

Day: 212

I was spotted and taken to the Fortress of Jahai, which was built on the spot where Turai Ossa threw down Palawa Joko. On the way here, I saw Azazel talking to a person, who I later was told was General Kahyet. Luckily, she did not come near me afterwards. I cannot trust anyone who helps Azazel, for all I know, she was telling him where to find the Death Sword of Mind I am searching for here. I met with General Morgahn, who was very reasonable with me and why I avoided the ports. Luckily, I was let go with what many would call a “slap on the wrists.” I just had to give my name and reason, which was a slight lie of course. With now knowing that Vabbi worships Lyssa as their patron god, I think that will be a good area to start looking for this Death Sword.

Day: 217

I have searched most of Vabbi already; all I have not searched is The Hidden City of Ahdashim. But, as fate would have it, I cannot get in, which means Azazel probably cannot. I will search elsewhere for the Death Sword now; I heard there is a very old town on the island of Istani, which is just off of the coast. I think that is the next best chance of its location.

Day: 218

I am now on a boat to get onto Istani, thanks to General Morgahn, I was able to get on this passage. I will be landing in a few hours, shouldn’t be too long till I can see if I can find that Death Sword.

I made it into the old city finally. It is mostly blocked off, but I found a small way in. There is one room that I passed that is blocked off; I have the same feeling coming from that room as in the weird area that I passed through in the Desolation, and where I was imprisoned. I will be avoiding this room until the end, if I must go into there.

Day: 219

While searching the ancient city, I met Azazel; it seems that my second guess was right on where to find the Death Sword of Mind. It seems he found it funny that I knew so little and was searching to stop what he considers the inevitable. Because of this, he explained that the fire Death Swords can be combined at a certain place, and that once combined, it will make the only thing able to counter my sword, which is called the Blood Blade. He also said that the names of his swords were incorrect of what he originally called them, and that me calling this third sword the Death Sword of Mind is incorrect too. It seems that there are two sources of the origin of these swords, both calling them something else. The first source he found claimed that they are swords meant to bring down the gods themselves, but the second, and older source, says that the five swords are meant to counter the strongest weapon in existence, the Blood Blade.

I did not believe him because this sword does not seem that powerful, but he went on to say that I have not yet awakened its power. After that, he disappeared again. Although he now has another Death Blade, I now have more information that I may be able to use to find the locations of the other Death Blades, and how to awaken my own sword, if I can.

Day: 330

All this time I have been searching throughout Cantha, Elona, and Tyria, with no luck of the other Death Blades or on information on my own sword. I went to Glint, and she would tell me nothing, the Seer knew no more then what it told me last time, even Kuunavang refused to help. I do not know where to go for information now, if the oldest creatures I know are refusing to help then I do not see how I can continue this effort for now.

Day: 338

On returning to the Ascalon Settlement, Spyke told me that he found something that may help me and my search. It was an ancient book with the title of Prophecy of the Twin Blades; Spyke said that he found it in what remains of the catacombs in Ascalon. It was probably near where I found my sword, and I just did not see it. Through reading the book, I found that the purpose of the Blood Blade is to kill a person, not as a normal sword does, but by stealing his strength, transferring it to the wielder. Here is what I found to be the most interesting passage in this book:

At that point, the next few pages are ripped out and I cannot tell what it says.

Day: 30 Year: 1075

I have searched the book for ways to unlock the sword, but could not find anything no matter how closely I looked. If it is in the book, it must be on one of the ripped pages. Since I could not find anything in the book, I will go out and search for any more clues on how to awaken my sword. I will start my search in Ascalon; try to see if I can get into the Catacombs, since that is where I found my sword.

Day: 38

Four days of searching for an entrance and I found none. There is one last place that was once an entrance to the Catacombs that may still be around, I am heading there now to see if I can get in through there.

Day: 39

I found an entrance to the Catacombs at last. Most of this place is flooded and it is hard to not go underwater to get around. I may have to leave my books here in order to get to the area where I found my sword, which may also be where I can find a clue. I remember a few murals in the area of where I found my sword, near one of the two statues of Grenth. Maybe those murals will give a hint on this prophecy or how to awaken my sword.

Day: 42

I went underwater, leaving my books near where I went underwater, and I found the location where I found my sword. The murals were still there, somehow. There are four in total. The first mural shows two creatures, these creatures do not look human, staring at each other like they are about to attack. The first creature is a red/brown color with spikes coming from all over itself, three on each arm, three on each leg, four on the head, and two rows of three on the back. Looking at this creature reminds me of Azazel for some reason. The other creature is of a tan color, with giant wings coming from its back and only three fingers on each hand. This creature looks surprisingly like how I looked back when I was able to transform because of the torture over three years ago.
The second mural shows the same two creatures that are in the first mural, this time actually fighting, both with swords that look just like mine. The first creature, with the spikes, has a blue glow around his sword. The other creature has a red glow around his sword.

The third mural shows both of those creatures fallen, with the other’s swords through each other. It also shows a third creature. This third creature is pure, and what looks like rags, or some cape, on him that seem to be blowing in some wind, or floating around him. This black creature’s hand is raised up and a black mist-like thing is coming out, it almost looks like it is moving to the two fallen creatures.

The forth mural shows one creature, the left half looks the same as the creature with the blue sword in the first mural, and the right half looks like the creature with the red sword. This new creature is wielding the two swords that are help by each creature in the first mural.

I do not know what these four murals mean; maybe they depict part of the prophecy. The creature with the red glowing sword looks too much like me when I was able to transform, there is a good chance that it is, but what does this all mean? Along with the murals, I found an inscription which reads.

Quote:
One wants destruction, the other wants peace. They are the same and yet different. There is Light, and there is Dark. The one who will be king is the one who will win the battle. The one who wins the battle is none. The Balance can only be made when both fall and the third comes in to save them.
I wonder what this inscription means. If it is about me and Azazel, my guess is that we will fight, and both die. The “third” must be Spyke then, but what does it mean by Light, Dark, and Balance? It must be some other part of the prophecy. Only time will tell. For now, I need some rest, I have a feeling something big will happen soon and I will not get any once it starts. I am running out of room in this book, so I will make a new book once something comes up.

Book 4

Day: 314 Year: 1074

It has been a while since I got the book about my sword and the sword Azazel is trying to get. Nothing has happened and I have been unable to get any extra information on these swords, or the prophecy that was torn out of the book.

Day: 24 Year: 1075

A woman called Kormir from the “Order of the Sunspears” showed up at Lion’s Arch today. She was talking about “Nightfall” coming and that she needs strong warriors to help fight it off. When I talked to her about it, she said that Nightfall is when darkness will fall on the world for eternity. I couldn’t just sit around with something like that going too happened so I traveled with her back to Elona, to the island of Istani, to fight this problem. Devona and her friends joined as well as Spyke.

Day: 37

We arrived at Istani after going to Cantha for some more help, not much help from there because they seem to still be dealing with the Am Fan, Jade Brotherhood, and a few more Afflicted. Kormir explained that Warmarshal Varesh was worshiping a fallen god called Abaddon and plans to bring about Nightfall by releasing Abaddon from his imprisonment. Now we are preparing to attack Varesh’s main stronghold of Gandara.

Day: 40

We were nearly successful, but at the last minute, Varesh summoned demons. Those demons were the same creatures that kept me imprisoned all those years ago. I have been feeling weird for a few weeks; it must have been the feeling of this Torment that nightfall is bringing. The Sunspears are now separated; we are easy prey for the Kournans. Now we search for a place to rendezvous seeing how all of our ships were sunk.

Day: 45

Most of the remaining sunspears were able to return to Istani, now it is only me, Spyke, Devona, Mhenlo, Aiden, Cynn, and Eve. We are heading to Vabbi to try to get the Princes of Vabbi to aid us in this fight. We have just freed Kormir from her prison in Gandara and killed a strong demon called “The Drought” and now head to Vabbi through a smuggling passage.

On our way to Vabbi, we incountered General Bayel and a demon called “The Hunger.” We had to kill them both, of what I was told, before the assault, only 2 of Varesh’s Generals are still alive, Morgahn and Bayel, which means now only Morgahn lives of Varesh’s Generals.

Day: 50

I went to a festival that the Princes were attending to try to get them to side with us. But sadly, they do not believe me, they think that Varesh’s troops are here to chase us, not harm Vabbi and the princes. They will soon see that they are wrong.

Day: 62

After several attempts the Kournans have made to kill the princes, it seems they finally believe me and are willing to help. Varesh has even gone so far as to kill priests to bring about Nightfall. Because of this, Morgahn has joined us, because he is putting faith and loyalty to the gods above loyalty to Kourna.

Day: 63

It seems that ruptures are starting to form throughout Elona. The two most recent reports claim the Garden of Seborhin and Rojok. We have decided to split up into two groups, Melonni, Devona, Mhenlo, Eve, Cynn, Aiden, and I are going to help Rojok, Koss and the others are going to the Garden.

Day: 64

It seems impossible. While checking the area around Rojok for signs of corruption, a portal opened up. And with a bunch of torment demons, Serenity came through after. I’m so glad that she is alright even though she was kept in that realm for so long. I thought she wouldn’t have survived all those years in that dreaded place. After she ended up killing all the torment demons, she explained to me what happened in the “Realm of Torment,” which is the name of the place where I was imprisoned with her and where Abaddon is kept imprisoned himself. Serenity is now working with us to help end Nightfall and defeat Abaddon.

Day: 69

We have stopped two more attempts to bring Nightfall into this world and are now trying to figure out how to cross the Desolation easily. I was able to do it but it took a lot of time, which is something we do not have this time. The Centaurs know how Palawa Joko made it possible for mortals to cross, but do not know how to make it work for us. It seems we may have to ask Palawa himself.

Palawa Joko has risen, without any effort. Apparently, Nightfall coming has weakened his prison and he was able to be set free. The Centaurs trapped him on his way to the Desolation and we got him to talk, we need to control the Junundu Wurms so that we may use them to cross safely.

Day: 71

We made it to the Bone Palace, I remember being here, it was completely empty then and this time it was swarming with Margonites, which are now all dead. We now head to the Mouth of Torment. But before we can go there, we have to kill the “Horde of Darkness” The strongest Margonite group that Abaddon leads.

Day: 72

We are now at the Mouth of Torment, I remember this place from when I went through the desolation. I did not like this place when I first passed through, and I feel even worse about this place this time. The pull into torment is very strong here, almost unbearable.

Day: 73

After killing Varesh, we were sucked into the Realm of Torment, where we met Forgotten Keepers. They explained to us that Kormir is here and that she is waiting for us to help fight Abaddon. We are heading to meet her soon.

After meeting Kormir, we headed for the Gate of Pain. A river of souls is being dammed here and they are being harvested to feed Abaddon’s army. We need to destroy the damn to help weaken at least his army’s supplies. A basic guerrilla tactic, remove supplies and communications in order to win a war.

Day: 75

We destroyed the dam and set the spirits freed. In the area I thought I heard the Vizier Khilbron from a few years ago, might have been my imagination. But one thing is certain, the fallen God of Death, Dhuum, is helping Abaddon out. We now search for a temple that exists here; we hope to contact the Five True Gods through it.

We found the location of the Temple of the Six Gods, with the help of Ahtok, a sunspear who lost his life in the siege of Gandara. We are now heading to the temple to ask for divine help from the gods.

We made it to the Temple of the Six Gods, and found not only Vizier Khilbron, but Shiro Tagachi and Azazel as well. After killing both Shiro and Khilbron a second time, and making Azazel retreat, we summoned the Avatars of the Gods. They said we don’t need anything more then their blessing and that we will win. I do not believe so but I will still try. I wanted Serenity to stay out of the fight, but she insists on coming, I hope she will be alright in this battle.

Day: 76

We are at Abaddon’s Gate, soon we will go to fight the God of Secrets. I do not know the outcome and this may be the last entry of this book. If it is, I do not expect for this book to ever be found, but if it is, then let all who read this know the battle that was to bring down an evil god.

We did it! Somehow we were able to kill Abaddon. But after killing him, the energy that was within him was going crazy, Kormir was willing to sacrifice herself to keep the energy contained, in doing so, she became a new god, the Goddess of Truth. I’m sure if any other were to be in my place, they would want to be the god instead, but I do not mind not being a god, I do not want the responsibilities or the ability to live forever, if it is eternal existence and not just unable to age. We are all heading home, except for Serenity, as she no longer has a home. She will be joining me on the way home instead of staying in the only place she can call home, the prison called the Realm of Torment.

I am running out of space in this book as well now, I do not think there will be any more troubles except for Azazel, but I have a feeling he will not be bothering anyone for a while. I do worry about when he will though, but for now, it is time to rest.

Note: Sorry for the long time between Book 3 and 4, I got busy with other things and did not have a chance to work on this for a while. There is just one more book left, which includes EN and a little bit after. After Book 5, I will start a new series titles "The Legend of Azazel." Hope all that read this enjoys.
